As you know it costs a few dollars to keep things running around the RTI. I am not one to be begging for financial support. I have a simple donate button at the bottom of every page and that is about all I want. If I really needed lots of money I would be asking. I consider RTI to be a calling that I am devoted to and should dig deep into my own pockets to sustain as much as possible.

But if you want to have your name registered in RTI's history, you can 'purchase' the right to do so by adopting one of our smilies. Your donation will go towards RTI improvements.

Here is the process:

1. Select a smiley not already assigned to a member.

2. Note its BBCode. This is the code appearing between two colons when you enter it into an editing window. You can open the smiley window here. As you mouse over a smiley look at the lower left of the opened window to see the smiley code. (It takes some time for all the smilies to refresh the page and become visible. You may have to refresh the page manually.)

3. PM me about this smiley and your intentions to adopt it so I can make sure someone else is not already in the process of adopting the smiley.

4. Make a donation to RTI by selecting the 'Donate' button at the bottom of our pages. Donate whatever you can afford, as long as your donation is at least five US dollars. This is your chance to preserve your name in history! Wink

5. PM me with the smiley you have adopted and whatever name (e.g., your ID, a child, relative, etc.) you want to assign to that smiley and I will make it happen for you. No names that are offensive or contra to our Reformed doctrines are allowed. This includes requesting a smiley be named after biblical characters, doctrines, secular and religious historical figures, etc. If you are in doubt about a name, PM me before doing anything to discuss.

6. After your smiley is adopted, the code a person uses to enter a smiley will be the name you selected, just like one of my own:

Code:
:amr3:
= Stick to my story or disagree: according to context

I am always reviewing the smileys that our discussion forum service makes available, so if you don't see anything that you like now, just check back in from time to time.

Enjoy!

For anyone wanting to advertise at RTI:

Contact me: AMR AT askmrreligion DOT com (<--you should know how to correct this email)

The fee is $10 per week and I will add a link to the "Useful Resources" fader item at the upper left of our pages that cycles through various items and shows links to them all every 60 seconds. Your link would be displayed 1 time per minute, or 1,440 times per day, or over 10,000 times per week.

I will need to know how to describe your link and how many weeks you would like to run your link. Payments are made to me via PayPal. You must pay for 50% at the start of your ad campaign and the remainder at the end of your ad campaign. Linked content must be in alignment with RTI's general rules and beliefs.

If you have some idea for a banner ad, that I would place along the upper right side of our main page, contact me to discuss. The size of the ad would be as are the other banner ads shown on the main page. The cost of a banner ad would be $50 per week, one week minimum. This is a very good deal for anyone wanting to get public attention. Again, ads must be aligned with the stated purposes and beliefs of RTI.

This is probably an understatement, and we think giving members this opportunity to help AMR with the costs of establishing this web site, along with having fun choosing a personal smiley that will belong to them alone, is a good way to come together as a group.

We are going to use our newly designated smiley as our signature at the end of every post, and if others want to use the smiley to address us, they may keyboard in JandR with the colons in front and back as shown below:

Code:
:JandR:

Which will yield... Love

Love have had a long-standing ministry of providing free bibles and concordances to anyone in need.   We will be pleased to help students obtain textbooks, also.

I added more smilies over the weekend. They all await good homes.

Added more smilies. All are looking for "adopting" parents.

Bump, but only once!

Nice surprise about this shorter form. Can you tell us what it is you are talking/writing about?Has any info. about this shorter form been posted before (and i just missed it)?
Not sure what you mean by "shorter form". If you want to adopt a smilie, you PM me with your choice(s), your "code" for the smilie, and I will set it up, all for a minimum donation of at least $5.

So, I gather we are to assume you are a common lurker, sitting back to see what happens when raw meat is thrown into a room of ravenous animals? Wink

Lurker? Yes. Common? No. I find your insinuation rather distasteful unlike this DELICIOUS popcorn Angel.
