As the ESV is now coming out, and I once had one in NIV, thinking about ESV version. Any here plan to buy the Thompson ESV bible?

I looked at Thompson Chain Ref Bibles when I was looking for a new NKJV Bible but didn't pull the trigger. I like them but didn't buy one. I know people that have them love them.

I have the NKJV of the Thompson Chain Reference Bible. It is the only one Kirkbride advertise (in the NKJV Preface section) as having all the chains completed. I do not know if they will make the same claim for the ESV.

Do you know if all ofthem are made by Kirkbride, as have seen some with better quality then others in Thompson Chain...

Was surprised to see Esv, as they notrmally take their time on versions, as they still only have 1984 Niv, 1979 Nasb!

I liked it when I had one, as the commentary was the bible references themselves!

I have seen some made by others. I would only purchase direct from Kirkbride.

I still have my Thompson Chain by B.B. kirkbride Bible Company. It is the King James Version and was given to me as an ordination gift years ago. It is well worn from reading and preaching from it. I have not considered the ESV but will look into it. May the Lord bless all of you!

I had an Niv Thompson Chain at one time. the binding and quality of them was really good back then, and hopefully still have maintained that feature. Main complaints were that they did not upgrade to newer versions of Nasb, nor their supplemental informations in the helps...
