Thanks Lon!  I think they added a verse and the chorus wasn't repeated in the printed lyrics I found (Iris DeMint's version).

I'll add my favorite band in here I guess. Skillet.

          Learning inside
I will be safe with You tonight
You cause the smile and the teardrops in my eyes
Locked inside Your every movement
Will I stand or will I fall?
Trapped inside Your walls of glory
I am just as the dead leaves fall
Chaos in my head
The whole universe is at rest
When I'm in Your arms is when I feel the best
Locked inside Your creative being
Whirled about in Your unfailing truth
Attacked with power by ferocious love
Salvation alone belongs to You!
Lifting up my voice to the God who really sees
The God who is consumed with loving thoughts of me
The screaming winds
And the crashing of the oceans
Shifting sands and the changing of the seasons
As I stand in awe and wonder
Nothing in the world has prepared me for You!
Jesus, Jesus I'm safe with You

Would it be wrong to say that poetry is the music of the soul?  God has given me so many precious promises through the poetry I have written.  And they seem to come to memory just at the time I need them.  "Secure In Jesus" was the first poem I wrote, before I knew what being Reformed was all about.

SECURE IN Jesus

There is a gentleness about Jesus
that can touch the hardest heart and melt it;
a gentleness,- like the softness of a flower petal
and the sweet fragrance of grass after a spring rain.

You can never wander so far that
He cannot reach you,
nor become so hurt and wounded
He cannot repair the injury.

His love for you will never
wax cold from neglect,
but instead will seek you out
until you quit running and receive Him.

His peace comes as a soft whisper
and crescendos throughout your being.
His joy comes in the form of singing and laughter,
even in the hardest of  times.

And when your eyes are filled with tears,
and your whole world seems to be in ruins,
His hands touch your face
and wet themselves while drying those tears.

And you can hear Him say those beautiful words
you never get tired of hearing:
'I LOVE YOU,
              I LOVE YOU,
                             I LOVE YOU!'

Nothing is the same any more!
He is everything you will ever need in any situation!
He is Jesus, and no one else can take His place
.
He is Jesus and He saved you by His Grace.

Jeremiah 31:3 "I have loved you with an everlasting love."

I don't have any music for this, but everytime it comes to memory, I feel like singing.

In His love,

Yvonne

One of my favorite hymns has always been, "Jesus Paid It All", and I just happened to find the story behind the Hymn.

Jesus Paid It All – Hymn Story
by Richard Gelina under Hymn Stories

One Sunday morning Elvina Hall was sitting in the choir section at her church, Monument Street Methodist Church, in Baltimore, Maryland. She wasn’t exactly bored with the sermon that Pastor George Schrick was preaching, but while he spoke about Jesus, Elvina’s mind drifted to what Jesus had done for us and realized that Jesus had truly paid the entire price for our sins. The words to our hymn “Jesus Paid It All,” were born that morning and the only thing Elvina had to write the words on was the inside cover of her hymnbook. Later, when she gave the words to her pastor she found out that the organist had just written a tune and both words and tune fit perfectly together. The hymn was published in 1879.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small!
Child of weakness, watch and pray, find in Me thine all in all.”

Lord, now indeed I find Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots and melt the heart of stone.

For nothing good have I whereby Thy grace to claim-
I’ll wash my garments white in the blood of Calv’rys Lamb.

And when before the throne I stand in Him complete,
“Jesus died my soul to save,” my lips shall still repeat.

Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain-
He washed it white as snow.

In Christ,

Yvonne
